DUCTWORK SYSTEMS FOR A
HEALTHY INDOOR CLIMATE
Healthy air in every room by smart distribution.
As buildings become better insulated and airtight, purposed-provided ventilation is required to create and sustain a healthy and comfortable indoor air quality. The eff ectiveness of central mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery is largely dependent upon the system used to distribute the air and the ductwork are the blood vessels in modern, energy-effi cient buildings. However, A poorly designed or installed air distribution system will waste energy through unnecessary pressure loss and/or air leakage because the ventilation unit will have to work harder to ventilate at the required rates, which may also cause unnecessary noise hindrance.
Ubbink guarantee the well-being of occupants by offering high quality and premium ductwork systems that distribute fresh air and extract moist air from the habitable rooms of residential buildings. Ubbink ductwork connects flawlessly with any central ventilation unit and warrants airtight, long-term, energy efficient, sustainable ventilation systems.

Ubbink Air Excellent Radial Ductwork
Radial ductwork systems differ from traditional trunk and branch ductwork systems by running ducts between a distribution box and each habitable and wet room. The distribution box is then connected to a ventilation unit using mass flow ductwork and a silencer.
Offering:
- Low air velocity to minimise sound production
- Low system pressure loss to minimise fan energy use and sound production
- Airtight (class D/ATC 2 up +/- 2000 Pa) thanks to mechanical connections, which minimises fan energy use and sound production
- TÜV SÜD and ISEGA tested and certified, REACH compliant
- Insulated to minimise the risk of condensation
- Minimal transfer of sound/noise between rooms
- Easy, quick, safe and clean installation
- Commissioned correctly
- Healthy and safe
- Easy to clean

Ubbink Aerofoam Mass Flow Ductwork
Although not part of the Air Excellent portfolio, mass flow ductwork and silencers are essential parts of the ventilation system. Insulated mass flow ducts in air distribution systems used for ventilation, heating or cooling is often required to minimise heat loss or prevent condensation on or inside the duct.
Silencers, which are placed between the ventilation unit and the distribution boxes, minimise the transfer of sound produced by the ventilation unit.
Offering:
- Well insulated duct.
- Low pressure loss due to the very smooth inner surface
- Light, easy to cut and pliable.
- Impact resistant (i. e. no dents).
- Doesn’t rust.
- Comes in duct lengths of 2.25m and in diameters 125, 150, 160 and 180mm.
- Mechanical connections (i. e. no tape required).
- Easy to dismantle, which makes maintenance very easy.

Ubbink Air Excellent Manifold Systems
Air Excellent distribution boxes are used to distribute air inside a dwelling radially, which minimises system pressure drop, fan energy use and sound production. They are made of plastic (PP) so that they are durable, don't rust and lightweight so easy to handle and install. This distribution box can be connected to mass flow ductwork with diameters 125, 150, 150 and 180mm and has 6 Air Excellent duct connections.
Offering:
- Extremely lightweight and no sharp edges.
- Air flow restrictors are easy to place and replace due to good accessibility.
- One adaptable mass flow ductwork connection for DN125, DN150, DN160 and DN180.
- Multiple DN180-based inspection hatches with EPDM seal-ring and bayonet-locking.
- Elimination of cross-talk and HRV-unit sound.
- Easy to clean the system and re-arrange the flow restrictors (renovation).
- Superior system performance due to low pressure loss.
- Airtightness Class C.
